DISAPPOINTING ACT RACE FOR JORDAN

Flat Tire Ends Top-Five Run

WATERFORD - Tim Jordan made a mistake in his heat race going for the lead, sliding up the hill, which set his night up with an uphill battle of getting to the front of the ACT 100 at Waterford Speedbowl. After winning the consi by a straightaway lead, Jordan started his trek towards the front of the field from 13th place. He slowly began passing strong cars on the outside, while sometimes getting stuck behind cars battling for position. By the end of the event, Jordan made it up to fifth. He was one of the few cars actually making passes, other than Brian Hoar, who was able to get clear of the traffic earlier in the race while Jordan got stuck. A lap 95 caution period was unfortunate for Jordan as he got a flat tire riding around while ACT tried resetting the odd lineup with lapped cars mixed in with the leaders. Jordan pulled off the track on the restart and finished a dismal 24th.  READ MORE
